HOW A MAXXUS YARD comes together

Use the arrows to navigate from step 01 through to step 07. We tailor each job to the terrain, so keep in mind our process may vary slightly from job to job.

MAXXUS YARD FEATURES

Due diligence is important, but we know you’re a busy person with things to do. Below you’ll find an overview of the core features of the Maxxus range. If you’d like to know more, simply click the link below and it will scroll you to the relevant part of this page.

01

Deep Rail Profile

When cattle are putting pressure on yards, it is lateral pressure. For this reason our cattle rail is 47mm deep compared to the more common 40-42mm depth.

02

Hot Dipped Galvanising

Hot Dipped galvanised after welding keeping yards rust free for life.

03

Anti-rattle Connection Clamps

Our rattle free clamp system reduces annoying noise in the yard and ensures a tight hold between panels and gates compared with loose fitting pins and bolts that others use.

04

Overhead Bracing

We recommend incorporating Overhead Bracing in yard sections with junctions near 90 degrees, especially if you’re dealing with stroppy stock. They help to lock in the yards structural integrity. Recommended if you’re buying a bigger MAXXUS design. If you’re buying a smaller yard and have quiet stock, then they’re not a necessity.

05

500mm Ribbed Ground Spikes

9 times out of 10, MAXXUS yards go on a gravel type pad or just grass. If you’re setting your yard up to be in place more permanently, we recommend adding our 500mm Ground Spikes to your package. If you’re planning to move your yard round or are running quiet stock, they’re not a necessity.

06

Height-adjustable Loading Ramp

Our MAXXUS Loading Ramp has been designed to cater to your typical lifestyle farmer - you may need to load the back of a ute, or perhaps a trailer, or a proper stock truck. Cattle, calf and sheep friendly due to tight rail spacing.

07

10 Year Warranty on Galvanising

All Hot Dipped Galvanised Steel comes with a 10 year warranty.

08

18 Month Steel Warranty

All steel within a yard package comes with an 18 month warranty.

09

Sheep Friendly Rail Spacing

Maxxus yards are designed for sheep use as well. Panels and gates have tighter rail spacing down low to ensure sheep are safely contained. The bottom three spacings are 150mm, 160mm, 190mm on our new Maxxus range.

Customer Projects

Everyone loves talking about their own products, but sometimes the best thing is to hear from the customers who love them too. Over the years we’ve worked with farmers from Kaitaia to Bluff (and everywhere in between). Read their stories below and find out why Onefarm is one of the fastest growing stock handling businesses in New Zealand.

27 HEAD MAXXUS YARD

Maxxus 27 Head Yard For Simon Cunningham

We spoke with Simon once he’d run a few cattle through the yards to get his thoughts on sizing.‍“We had about 8 x 350 kg heifers in the main pen last week and that felt about right whilst being in there with them. Any more would’ve felt a little overcrowded. We also had a few in the force pen.  So comfortable we had about 12 girls in the yards. I felt safe and they were happy too”

20 HEAD MAXXUS YARD

Maxxus 20 Head Yard for Heath Smith

After using the yards a few times, we asked Heath for his thoughts. "They're excellent. There has clearly been a lot of thought put into them. I would say there has been some good feedback from people who have had yards in the past because you do see some cheap and low-quality ones."
